Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father

A 6-part Netflix Original series, produced by Tiger Aspect and Cave Bear Productions, in which Fifty Fifty delivered full post in 4K and 5.1. We see Jack and his unadventurous dad trying to complete Jack’s aborted 2009 gap year, travelling through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The fun is experiencing their very different perspectives and the dynamic between the Whitehall duo.

Julian Nelson, Head of Online at Fifty Fifty was Tech Lead and Online Editor throughout the project and developed an efficient and effective DI workflow for the post house and client.

Baselight colourist on the series, Kenny Gibb, was asked to bring a uniformity to the variety of source material producing a warm, but not over saturated, feel to the show.

John Paul Sutherland performed the 5.1 and Stereo mix on the series on Fifty Fifty’s Pro Tools S6 console creating a complex mix of subtle sound design and atmospheric landscape. Sutherland recorded Foley when required which added a greater depth and layering to the comedy travelogue series.
